Dating Sites News & Commentary

wanted to stay. Since it was way too early to eat, we sat on my sofa and talked for an hour or two and he kissed me. I was so nervous and I don’t know why and for some reason I felt the need to clue him in on this. He said that he was a little nervous too. The strange thing about Troy and I is that I think we are at the exact same place with out feelings for each other and we both know it. I don’t have to ask him things because I know the answer. take him up on the offer, but not tonight. We made our way to my bedroom where we messed around a bit and just held each other. We just stare at each other and it’s so incredibly powerful. I feel as if know exactly what he would say to me if he spoke. He said to me, “By the way, I am cancelling my Match.com membership”. I said, “My membership expires on the 7 so I’ll just let it run out”. As soon as I said it, I felt like an ass because here this guy is telling me that he pretty much not in dating anyone else and I don’t tell him the same thing, even thought I’m thinking it. What a moron I am.

Who can’t sort of relate to this [craigslist]

The title says it all. My mom, god bless her, is in match-making mode. She struck once two weeks ago by flirting with the waitress at the cafe we were at. While I was standing there!

“Do you recognize my son?” she asked the waitress, then went on to explain I was on some local television show that about 3 people in the city watch because it was on Friday night, when most people are out having a life.

“No,” she said, then explained she’s too busy to watch television because she’s working three three jobs to save money to buy a house with her fiance.

Check please!

Then, the next week, at the same cafe (with the same waitress!) my mom slipped me the phone number of a colleague’s daughter.

“How is that conversation supposed to go Mom,” I asked. “Hi. my mom spoke to your mom and said we should go out.”

I called the woman and apologized. She laughed, accepted the apology and suggested we get drinks to commiserate.

Look. I’m 29. College educated. Fully employed. Can do laundry. No criminal record. Have a great group of friends. And, um, a quirky but lovable family.

So please, help me stop my mom before she match makes again.
