Jodi Picoult does not to “lite” fare as far as novels go. Not at all…
is a powerful book. Again, I’m torn with how much to reveal. The entire thing is almost one spoiler after another. I think it’s safe to say Nina, mother and prosecuting attorney- learns her 5 year old son was sexually molested. She then takes matters into her own hands. Thing don’t turn out quite as planned.
We also deal with the short comings of Nina’s marriage, and that her best friend in the world Patrick, has loved her forever… another story of unrequited love. We have a trial. We peek inside the head of the 5 year old boy.
Powerful. Heavy stuff. Not for the faint of heart at all… Great book, though. Wonderful. Seamlessly written and I love her use of language.
